More Pictures...

Well, I had a wonderful Birthday weekend! Mom...the birthday ferry came to my house, bearing gifts of service, and Aggie Ice Cream! She asked, what can I clean for 1/2 an hour? She scrubbed and scrubbed my tub 'til it was white again! I bet it hasn't seen that pure of color for years... :) What a sweet mother I have!

Nephi brought me home a bunch of delicious treats, and we got a really fun new game! Come play it with us sometime! :) We figure sometimes new games are a good investment, because then we have something fun to do besides just watch movies!

We Thank The O God for a Prophet! :)

This morning Joanna woke up with the yucky stomach flu. I was so touched as I held her in my arms, and read her stories, and sang her some songs so early in the morning (for me.) She was suffering, and basked in the comfort of my arms, and company. It feels so good to be needed sometimes! I felt joy in this moment...even though the through up was not inspiring...I could find joy being with Jos! I knew that if I were sick like her...I would want someone to coddle me and be attentive to me too. :)

I pulled up one of the FRESH talks from the Young Women's Broadcast! FRESH off the press! The press online I guess. :) It was so GOOD to hear the prophet's voice! One thing he said that really inspired me was this...and I paraphrase...:)

"By the yard, Life is hard..

But by the inch, Life is a cinch!" He encouraged us to ENDURE! And that we just need to "Look to Heavenly Father for guidance ONE day at a time." :)

I CAN DO THAT! :)

It's A Wonderful Life!

Well, here we are...February almost half over! I think it's time I post some pictures! Joanna is blossoming like a rose, she is so smart and cute. :) Today I did her pretties and put a bit of gel in her hair so it would stay nice for our date tonight.

She had her one year check up on Tuesday. She had an ear infection...but with all her sleep and medication I think things are finally moving on. What a blessing! She has started drawing with crayons that she got from the restaurant we ate at in the Gateway Mall. She draws on paper, and bathtub so far... :) What a little artist she will be!

Nephi is doing well, and staying exceedingly busy. He's working diligently on his senior design project to help deter the dear away from people's garden's and flowers. He's such a smart boy! :) Joanna loves him... Especially when he plays with her and gives her bottles with milk.

I have been reuniting up with a bunch of my old room mates from college--which I felt was one way I could use my time, and it is such a blessing! Nephi and I met with Megan and Rachel last Friday...and this Friday it will be Cynthia! Keeping in contact with good friends is a blessing!

Our little Joanna is growing up! She is such a joy to have around. She took her first couple steps last week,...still not walking on her own, but maybe by Christmas! We got a high chair for Jos, and she likes that. She's such a big girl...picking up food with her little fingers. One of her favorites to eat with Mom is Ramen Noodles. :) I took Joanna out to make a snowman the other day. It wasn't good packing snow though, so we just ate some. snow

Nephi is excited about the most recent victories of the USU Aggies! I am enjoying listening to beautiful Christmas melodies, eating treats from Nephi's birthday stash, and so grateful we finally had a good family planning session yesterday! :) Order is a beautiful thing... We made some delicious cheese sticks yesterday for dinner together..they were a TREAT! And now...some pictures!

Homemade Corn-dogs and a new toy for Joanna! :)

So....yesterday I got really excited to try out a new recipe for Homemade Corn Dogs. It was really cool, up until the point we baked, instead of deep fried. Oh well. It was a learning experience. And since we are used to eating, and like both hot dogs, and corn bread...why not eat them together? :)

Also, one of Nephi's textbook's for school came yesterday--"A Practical Guide to SysML." Josi seemed to like the wrapper,(which Dad proceeded to put on her head) and Mom enjoyed throwing the peanuts from the box at Dad..but Nephi was probably most interested in the book, which only he could make any sense of. :)

Enjoying The North Platte

Last Saturday, after doing a bit of cleaning, and things around the house, shopping at the Goodwill for a new outfit, and having some lunch, Nephi and Josi and I packed up our baby bug spray, and sunscreen and headed to the river.

Nephi felt very excited to use his new inner tube he bought for 25cents at a garage sale. (He also bought the game RISK that same day, which he loves to play..but Mom is not so sure about after that last game...) :) Anyways, Nephi said he loved me, then disappeared downstream. With that, I started to get a little nervous as Josi and were left there alone... After what I imagine was a couple prayers, and a short time later, we saw Nephi walking back up our way from the bridge. Thank goodness the river was nice to him. :) He had a wonderful time! We let Josi put her toes in the sandy water, but it seemed to be a bit too chilly for her liking...

Our little Josi is so fun, and cute. Nephi LOVES being a Daddy, and has to remind Mom not to let Josi have too much sugar, and keep away the paper Josi likes to eat. :)
